Rebecca
Managing Director
Rebecca has spent over 30 years building Carmaster Garage into one of Yorkshire’s leading independent garages, alongside co-director and husband, Dave. Passionate about developing people as much as developing the business, she now focuses on leadership, strategy, and continuous improvement, while supporting other independent garage owners across the UK. Away from work, Rebecca is an English Bridge Union 1 Star Master and qualified Tournament Director and a regular contributor to Aftermarket magazine.
Dave P
Director & diagnostic specialist
Dave P is Carmaster Garage’s diagnostic specialist, with more than 40 years’ experience solving complex faults that many other garages can’t. His expertise and experience have been fundamental in building Carmaster Garage into the industry leader it is today. A former Apprentice of the Year winner and multiple finalist for national technician awards, he remains passionate about learning and embracing new vehicle technology, and now holds the IMI Level 4 qualification to work on EV and hybrid models. Outside the workshop, Dave enjoys playing golf and restoring classic motorcycles, and is gradually reducing his working week as part of a well-earned, phased retirement.
Simon
General Manager
Simon joined Carmaster Garage as a Service Advisor, progressed to Reception Manager, and is now our General Manager, reflecting his dedication to both the business and our customers. After more than ten years with us, he plays a key role in keeping the garage running smoothly and ensuring customers receive the friendly, professional service the team is known for. Away from work, Simon is an avid Leeds United fan and enjoys a game of poker.
Kym
Mamma Bear & Fire-Fighting Queen
Kym joined the Carmaster Garage team in 2019 and quickly became an indispensable part of day-to-day life at the garage. Affectionately known as ‘Mamma Bear’, she has a natural talent for looking after both customers and colleagues, whatever the day brings. Alongside being one of our fire wardens, Kym is a qualified first aider and a Level 3 Mental Health First Aider. Outside work, she enjoys netball, both as a player and a qualified umpire.
Dave T
Head of Customer Love
Dave T joined us in 2021 and as Carmaster Garage’s Head of Customer Love, he keeps our workshop running smoothly by coordinating bookings, looking after customers and their vehicles, and ensuring the technicians have all the information they need to deliver the very best service. Outside work, Dave enjoys football, most sports, and is both a qualified first aider and one of the garage’s fire wardens – so you’re always in safe hands.
Matt
Technical & Workshop Manager
Matt joined Carmaster Garage in 2026 as our Technical & Workshop Manager, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in the motor industry, including diagnostics, workshop operations, and automotive equipment sales. Passionate about all things automotive, Matt enjoys keeping up with the latest technology and finding practical solutions to technical challenges. He is already putting his experience and knowledge to work at Carmaster Garage, supporting both the team and our customers.
Andy Sumner
Technical Advisor & MOT Tester
Andy joined Carmaster Garage in the workshop in 2021, before moving into the front office as a Technical Advisor. Having worked hands-on as a technician and MOT tester, including specialising in timing belts and major repairs, he understands vehicles from the inside out and enjoys helping customers understand exactly what their car needs. Away from work, Andy is a passionate Leeds United supporter as a season ticket holder, enjoys fishing, and plays pool for a local team.
Brandon
Technician
Brandon joined Carmaster Garage as an apprentice in 2021 and quickly progressed to become a fully qualified technician. Passionate about developing his skills and gaining experience, he enjoys the challenge of working on an increasingly wide range of vehicles and continues to build his technical knowledge through ongoing training. Outside work, Brandon enjoys football, socialising with friends, and spending time with his family.
Luke
MOT Tester, Technician, & ADAS Specialist
Luke is one of Carmaster Garage’s longest-serving team members, having joined us in 2015. An experienced technician, MOT tester, and ADAS specialist, he also carries out major engine and gearbox repairs and is continually developing his technical expertise. Away from the workshop, Luke is a keen mountain biker and runner who regularly competes in local fell races. He once cycled 100 miles off-road in 18 hours for charity – proving his determination extends well beyond work!
Dan
Technician, MOT Tester, & ADAS-Qualified
Dan joined us in 2023 and is an experienced technician, MOT tester and ADAS-qualified specialist for Carmaster Garage. He enjoys the variety of carrying out servicing, major repairs, and engine and gearbox work, and is always keen to expand his technical knowledge. Outside work, Dan loves being a dad, spending time with his family, restoring classic Vauxhalls, and getting out on his motorbike.
Richard
Master Technician & MOT Tester
Richard is one of the country’s relatively small number of ADAS-qualified technicians, having renewed his qualification three times, and has been a member of the Carmaster Garage team since 2015. A highly experienced technician and a whizz at modern vehicle repairs, he holds Master Technician status, and is particularly skilled when it comes to diagnosing and resolving complex faults. He is also qualified to IMI Level 4 to work on EV and hybrid vehicles. With vehicle technology becoming increasingly sophisticated, Richard’s expertise helps ensure Carmaster Garage can tackle even the most challenging modern vehicle problems with confidence.
Andy Strike
MOT Tester & Quality Control
Andy has been a member of the Carmaster Garage team since 2020, carrying out MOTs, taxi compliance checks, quality control, and general repairs. His exceptional attention to detail and vast experience help ensure vehicles leaving the workshop meet the high standards we set for our customers. Away from work, Andy enjoys riding and building motorbikes, following football, and listening to heavy metal music, so there’s a good chance you’ll find him happiest with either an engine or a guitar turned up to eleven.
Lee
Mechanical Technician & MOT Tester
Lee joined us in 2023 and is a highly experienced mechanical technician and MOT tester, with more than 30 years in the motor trade. He has particular expertise in fabrication, welding and general repairs, and enjoys tackling the more challenging jobs, especially stripping down and rebuilding engines. Away from the workshop, Lee enjoys getting out and about with his dog, Jess, Carmaster Garage’s Head of Security, who clearly has him well trained.
Holly
Accounts Manager
Holly has been looking after Carmaster Garage’s finance department since 2020, along with many of the other important jobs that quietly keep everything running smoothly. Working remotely around her young family, Holly is very much part of the Carmaster Garage team and plays an important role behind the scenes.
Vicky
Admin Hero
Vicky has been part of the Carmaster Garage team since 2012 and plays an important role behind the scenes, keeping a huge number of things running smoothly, including much of our health and safety work. She is a valued member of the team and also captains the Carmaster Garage golf team, bringing the same commitment and team spirit to the course as she does to the garage.
Jess
Head of Security (woof)
Jess is Carmaster Garage’s four-legged Head of Security, specialising in cuddles, emotional support, and keeping an eye on the team. She’s always on hand when someone needs a little morale boost and takes her responsibility for staff wellbeing very seriously. Jess also plays an important role in maintaining workplace food safety by helping with any unattended lunches. We’re not entirely sure how she got so good at that part of the job.
